Launched in 2019, SHORE Centre’s Empowering Pregnancy program offers prenatal outreach support services for people in Waterloo Region who have decided to continue an unplanned pregnancy and become parents for the first time, OR for newcomer families who are experiencing pregnancy for the first time in Canada. Recognizing that unplanned pregnancies often present unique challenges and barriers, Empowering Pregnancy aims to support families with a range of emotional, social, and material support services to reduce stressors, increase community connection, and prepare for birth and beyond.

Empowering Pregnancy provides a baby box containing essentials for each expectant parent joining our program, and would welcome donations of knit/crochet baby blankets, booties, mitts, hats, or toys. We appreciate your generosity immensely!
Members can contact Vanessa@shorecentre.ca or phone 226/505-0240
